Dear Economist: My Cousin is NOT a Hack!
This afternoon, I innocently clicked on an Economist article only to see a quote that seemed awfully familiar– could it be?
Last year the papers were full of tales of upright conservatives letting their hair down during the Republican convention. “Not only were the Republicans raucous, they were also naive and provincial,” wrote a hack who took a job there to get her scoop. “Even the nasty ones were compelling—and I thought I had encountered every breed of dirtiness in the preceding month.”
Yes, google confirmed it was from an article my cousin wrote during the Republican National Convention last year.
A hack!
Pshaw– I’ll have you know, you premier source for analysis of world business and current affairs, that’s my cousin you’re so “authoritatively” dissing. Your anonymous authorship might do well to consider watching its collectively-edited back from now on… SNAP!
