Longing for the Keyboard, Not the Composer

Trying to type the word jurisdiction, which I currently have to attempt many many times per day, keeps reminding me of how the layout of the modern keyboard was purposefully designed to be inefficient, so that typists would be slowed down enough so that the keys wouldn’t stick.
Damn archaic inconveniences becoming standard.
Sometimes I really do fantasize about someday installing a Dvorak program to get a key order that makes sense….
