Is there nothing those words can’t be used to justify?
The Senate is currently debating a bill proposed by Sen. Lieberman called “The Protecting America in the War on Terror Act of 2005″. It aims to encourage the private sector to develop medicines to protect against biological attacks and epidemics, so that we’ll be prepared for outbreaks of things like SARS, or new anthrax scares. The above image was the runner-up in a contest at MIT called Weird Fields, which prompted entrants to make computer-generated artistic representations of abstract concepts in physics. (I’m sure this structure-heavy abstractionism is just a warm-up, and they’ll move on to impressionism next…)
